RENEW Continues:
 Small Christian Communities

At the heart of the RENEW process are

Small Christian Communities,

groups of 8-12 who come together for 90 minutes.

Essential Elements of Small Christian Communities are

v                       Prayer – emphasizing God’s presence and power as central in our lives

v                       Sharing – freely about God and about life experiences, reflecting on these in the light of Scripture and tradition.

v                       Learning – understanding more fully the Gospel, the Church and its teaching on faith and morals, and the relationship of that teaching to the circumstances of life

v                       Mutual Support – in fidelity to the Gospel and its living in our everyday lives

v                       Mission – members work for compassion, justice, reconciliation, and peace with the small community, in the family, parish, workplace, neighborhood, and wider society.

Parishioners will have an opportunity on the weekends of September 14 and September 21 to sign up for a 6 week Small Christian Community group which will focus on the themes of Season 5.

Season Five Groups will meet weekly

October 5 though November 9, 2008.
